08.18.2010: Ashford, CT - Under the watchful eye of a Bakerwoods Farm cat, 6-year-old Jacob Leger, of Ashford, eats a Macintosh apple in the shade of the tree from which he just picked it with his dad, Alton Leger. Leger says he doesn't come to the farm that much, only about "three times a week," but his mom, Dawn Leger vists daily saying, "It's a beautiful place to be." Bakerwoods Farm is a 150-acre family farm that turned into a education center with trails and over 200 animals. The farm is open to the public 7 days a week, Monday-Saturday 10 to sunset. Sundays 12 to 6.

08.06.2010: West Harford, CT - 5-Year-old Jack Bourdeaux (cq) of Suffield, CT, laughs with his Master Class instructor Rebecca Ensworth, of Medina, OH, during a week-long Suzuki clinic Friday at the University of Hartford. 120 students, from ages 4-17, and including Ryan Lucas (L) (cq), 6, of Windsor Locks came from as far away as California to participate.

08.03.2010: Manchester, CT - Dana Halenbeck, who was the public works director in Manchester until he retired last year to become a preacher in the Evangelical Lutheran church, prays with three people in the wake of the shooting at Hartford Distributors. The three had been inside Manchester High School, where employees of the company were brought in the aftermath of the shooting today that left nine people dead.

007.31.2010: Middlefield, CT - 6-Year-old Kieran Alexandro of North Haven windes his way through the Lyman Orchards sunflower maze. This year over 350,000 flowers were used to create a maze in the shape of a turtle. The maze is open daily 9-5 and one-dollar of every ticket sold will be donated the Connecticut Children's Medical Center.

“]07.24.2010: Glastonbury, CT - "My first wife never danced for 25-years. [Kathy's] first husband didn't dance for 27-years. So we're making up for lost time." says John Sadowski about dancing with his wife of 13-years, Kathy Sadowski. The two took to the dance floor during a performance of Colm O'Brien and Sean Connor at the Greater Hartford Irish Music Festival which runs through Sunday at the Irish American Home in Glastonbury.
