03.09.2010: Naugatuck, CT - "We've lived our lives wanting the state to be proud of having us as residents. To be thrown to the wayside after 47-years of our hard work and service is absolutely insane. We know we're not the only ones. We speak for everyone in our situation," -Dominic Caciopoli, who is leaving Connecticut after he was laid-off more than a year ago, and had his unemployment benefits cut after he worked a temporary job during his first year of unemployment. Combined with his wife's health problems and the extremey poor outlook for construction jobs in 2010, he has sold his home before falling behind in the mortgage and will be moving in with friends in New York.
