05.04.2010: Windsor Locks, CT - The Sabatier Reactor System (right background) is a Hamilton Sundstrand machine that makes potable water fom hydrogen and carbon dioxide for use aboard the International Space Station. Darren Smplatsky, holding a beaker of water, is the Engineering Manager on the project. With the upcoming retirement of the Space Shuttle, which now delivers water to the Space Station, NASA needed a new way for astronauts to get water. The unit produces 275-gallons a year.
