02.15.2010: Bolton, CT - While waiting for his friend's father to pick them up at the Lower Bolton Pond boat ramp, Ethan Moser, 7, of Ellington, examines a set of wings he and his friends Colin Garrow, 8, (far right) and Tommy Garrow, 6, (not pictured) found during an ice fishing trip with Colin and Tommy's father John Garrow. Taking advantage of today's holiday, the group was out on the ice most of the day and with a grill on scene was able to successfully catch and cook their lunch. Moser said he was going to share one of the wings with Tommy Garrow, who helped chip it out of the ice but he was going to hang the other wing on his wall. "I want my mom and dad to see it," he said, "I want to surprise them."

01.15.2010 -- Storrs, CT -- After shedding his sweatshirt (foreground) to short-sleeves, and after a short day of school due to exams, Tyler Frechette, 15, (L-R) of Mansfield, gets some air while sledding with his friends Joe Csiky, 16 of Willington, Logan Gagne, 18, of Ashford, and Sterling Yanke, 17, of Ashford. For the past two weeks, the group has been sledding in this pasture adjacent to UConn's Horsebarn Hill. Today, with snow pack dwindling and temperatures in the low 40's, the friends brought a wheel barrow from Frechette's house in order to haul snow and "go big" with their ramp and landing area.
